Hajezapp ("we", "us", or "our") operates the Hajezapp website, mobile applications, and booking platform at hajezapp.com and related subdomains. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using Hajezapp, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Information we collect
Account information: When you register as a customer or business owner, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and profile details you choose to provide. Business owners also provide business name, address, services, staff, branding, and scheduling settings.
Booking data: We store booking history, appointment times, service selections, status updates, notes, and communications related to appointments.
Authentication data: We use Firebase Authentication for secure sign-in. We do not store your password in plain text.
Usage data: We collect information about how you use our platform — pages visited, features used, and device type — to improve reliability and user experience.
Location data: If you grant permission, we may use your location to show nearby businesses. You can disable location access in your device or browser settings at any time.
2. Google Calendar integration (business owners)
Business owners may optionally connect their Google Calendar to Hajezapp. If you choose to connect, we request access to your Google Calendar and email address through Google OAuth.
What we access: We read calendar events within the date range you view in your Hajezapp calendar, and we may create calendar events when bookings are synced to your connected calendar. We access your Google account email to display which account is connected.
How we use it: Calendar data is used solely to help you manage availability, avoid double-bookings, and keep your external calendar in sync with Hajezapp appointments. We do not use Google Calendar data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.
How we store it: OAuth access and refresh tokens are stored securely on our servers, associated with your business account. We do not store the full contents of your Google Calendar permanently — we fetch events when needed to display them in your dashboard.
How to disconnect: You can disconnect Google Calendar at any time from your Hajezapp owner dashboard under Calendar → Connected calendars. You can also revoke Hajezapp's access from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Google's use of data: Hajezapp's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect to create and manage accounts, process and confirm bookings, send appointment reminders and notifications, operate business owner dashboards, improve our platform, prevent fraud and abuse, respond to support requests, and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. How we share your information
With businesses you book: When you make a booking, we share relevant details (such as your name and contact information) with the business so they can honor your appointment.
Service providers: We use trusted third-party providers for hosting, database storage, email delivery, authentication (Google Firebase), and analytics. These providers process data on our behalf under contractual obligations to protect it.
Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Hajezapp, our users, or the public.
Business transfers: If Hajezapp is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Privacy Policy.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain it (for example, transaction records for accounting purposes).
Booking history and reviews may be retained in anonymized form after account deletion.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to opt out of marketing communications.
You can exercise the main rights yourself from Profile → Privacy & your data: "Download my data" exports a copy of everything we hold about you, the "Marketing emails" toggle controls promotional messages, and "Delete my account" schedules permanent deletion (reversible within a 30-day grace period).
You may also contact us at privacy@hajezapp.com to exercise any right. We aim to respond within 5 business days.
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the one-click link in those messages, or the toggle in your profile.
If you believe we have not handled your data lawfully, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website uses essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We use optional analytics cookies only after you accept them in our cookie banner; you can choose "Essential only" to decline them.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if essential cookies are disabled.
Our mobile apps use local device storage for preferences and may use analytics tools to understand app usage.
8. Children's privacy
Hajezapp is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, contact privacy@hajezapp.com and we will delete it promptly.
9. Security
We apply industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, and secure credential storage. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure; please use a strong password and report suspicious activity to us.
10. International users
Hajezapp is operated from Lebanon. If you access our services from outside Lebanon, your information may be transferred to and processed in Lebanon or other countries where our service providers operate, which may have different data protection laws than your country.
11. Third-party links
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services (such as business websites or payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may also be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of Hajezapp after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
